A slower rhythm for you and your child Held in warmth, play, and simplicity A quiet pause in the early years
Little Hearth

A Gentle Weekly Rhythm
At the Little Hearth, we gather with our little ones to slow down, connect, and breathe. These weekly sessions offer a warm, Waldorf-inspired space to share in song, snack, craft, and seasonal wonder — held within the wooden Roundhouse in Petersham.
There’s no need to perform or perfect. Just come as you are — whether rested or ragged, hopeful or holding a thousand things. You are welcome here, and so is your child.
What to Expect
Each 90-minute session flows gently through:
-
Child-led free play: A celebration of curiosity and joy.
-
Natural toys: Simple yet stimulating tools for imagination.
-
Seasonal songs and crafts: A touch of tradition and creativity.
-
Wholesome snack: Nourishment for little tummies and big hearts.
Here, you're encouraged to:
-
Embrace your child's natural curiosity, offering freedom with gentle supervision.
-
Relish the simple moments with your child.
-
Seek guidance or share concerns openly with our group leader.
-
Actively participate in maintaining a secure environment for all.
-
We ask you to please silence and put away your mobile devices.
-
Respect our no photography policy without prior consent.
Everything is offered in rhythm — repeated each week so little ones feel held, and so you can exhale.

OUR DISTINCTIVE APPROACH
Fed up with the clamour and chaos of typical classes? Discover the tranquility of our approach:
FREE TO PLAY
We believe play isn't just a leisure activity for a child —it's their most profound work.
The foundations of lifelong learning are built when children can freely play without interruption.
NURTURING ENVIRONMENT
This space is intentionally slow, calm, and reverent.
We honour:
-
The inner world of the child
-
The inner experience of the parent
-
The sacredness of early years and everyday rituals
There is no pressure to speak, perform or socialise — just space to be.
BUILDING COMMUNITY
Our half-termly bookings promote consistency and community, crafting a comforting weekly rhythm for children, while parents forge genuine friendships and support networks.
You don’t need to know anything about Waldorf — just bring yourself and your little one.
Term Dates
We offer block bookings per half term of five or six sessions.
